Deceptively Delicious

I went over to my neighbors house yesterday to crop my Disney photos. She had this recipe book by Jessica Seinfeld. I love it and want it NOW. I have a very bad eater. The Doctor asked Madison what veggies she eats and her reply was corn and potatoes. I wanted to just hide. And she is just as bad with fruit. Syd is okay. She loves her fruit. If the girls see anything green they won't touch it. I have an amazon.com gift card and I might be giving it some action tonight. Go check it out www.DeceptivelyDelicious.com . I had the chocolate cake yesterday made with beets and it tasted like any other cake.

Yuck

The picture I posted doesn't go along with my post. I figured if I was going to post I should pop on a pic from Disney. We love the Mad Hatter.
Melonie I think you might have passed on the tummy bug to us thru the computer. ;) We know how we got it. The kids I watch were sick and Mom brought them back before they were better and passed on the love. I sent them right back home only not fast enough. Only Sydney is sick at this time. Thomas and I feel a little bit of yuck. I think we just might be tired from being up most of the night. Madi is feeling good so far. I'm sure she'll feel the love soon too.

I'm going to post again later. It's keeps telling me there are problems. Here are just a few pics from our final day in Magic Kingdom.

The girls and I hanging out with a Pirate who was bad to the bone.
We ate our breakfast every morning in the back of our car because we couldn't take the smell of our Motel I mean Hotel room.
This is a picture of one of the many musical happenings on stage in front of the castle. These happen all day and finish with a few fireworks.

Story Time with Belle was great. That is Madison next to Belle. There are no pics of Sydney because she was being shameful. Can you imagine a child being bad a Disney?

Our Magical Dinner

These are some trading pins we got the girls for our dinner. I bought them a lot of stuff before we got to Disney. Every night we gave them a special gift. I bought stuff from a lady on ebay who lives in Orlando and Disney store clearance. It saved us a lot of money. We did buy them a few things at Disney. At Disney World they also have this place called Bibbity Boppity Boutique. The prices start at $49 and up over $100. I really wanted the girls to go but the prices to me are just crazy. One night we went to the Disney store and bought our own stuff to do the boutique in our room. Right next to the boutique they sell all the things to do it. Every day I put body glitter on them and they thought it was the best thing in the world. We called it Tinker Bell dust. I just wanted to share a little money tips in this post and now I'm done.

That evening for dinner we ate with Cinderella and Prince Charming to help them celebrage a 1 year wedding anniversary. At the party were the evil stepsisters and stepmother. It was the best meal. The stepsisters were just as crazy and mean as they were in the movie. Stepmother was quite a trip. Sydney almost bumped into her and Thomas told her to watch out for stepmother. Thomas got a glare and was informed the name is Lady Tremaine. The meal is at the Grand Floridian and it is just beautiful. For any of you that watched Full House when you were little this is the Hotel they stayed at when they came to Disney World. When we walked in the girls said, "there is the piano Uncler Jesse played for Rebecca." We highly suggest going here for a meal. We had a dinner here and a breakfast. They also offer afternoon tea with Alice in Wonderland and her friends. At this dinner we ran into 2 families from school and a femily that lives in our subdivision. What are the chances?

Animal Kingdom

In Animal Kingdom we saw a Pocahontas show with her friends it's small but cute. The 2 big state plays are Lion King and Nemo. The wait for those were insane and we said no.

We went on Kilimanjaro Safaris. You gon an actual safari. This is one of the giraffes holding up the safari. It was very good. We went in the morning so the animals would still be awake. They do actually roam freely.
Standing in front of the Tree of Life. This fake tree is our of this world. All these animals are carved into the tree. You might be able to see some if you click on the picture to make it bigger. Under the tree is a 3-D It's Tought to be a Bug show. Very cool.
The only Mickey Mouse we went to see. His line was short and hidden away. The Mickey in the original outfit had a line over an hour long. Animal Kingdom was great and so much to see. Madison went on Expedition Everest 3 times you have to be 44 in. tall. Thomas didn't even want to go on it. Madi and I went on 2 times and then she put on the drama to get him on. We only spent one day in this park so we didn't get everything done.

The First Day cont.

Madison just takes it all in. The Disney people took a picture of her face while I snapped this. It is just great.

One of our important stops was Ariel's Grotto. This was one of our longer waits about an hour long in the hot sun. Tom thought we were crazy. He only lasted in the line for so long and went and sat in a shaded area.
Sydney and Princess Aurora aka Sleeping Beauty had the best chat. Sydney had on a Minnie Mouse top and the Princess told her Minnie had just made her a cake yesterday and it was just delicious. Sydney couldn't believe it. It was all shed talked about even to strangers on the bus.

Princess Aurora, Cinderella and Belle were all in a room together. They take one child in at a time so you get one on one with them. It only took about 20 min. to get to them in line. The sign said it was a 40 min. wait. By the end of our trip the girls had 29 autographes each. All I can say is if you see a line forming for autographes RUN.

Our First Day In The Magic Kingdom

Pirates of the Carribean was one of the girls favorite ride. We went on Pirates, Splash Mountain and Haunted Mansion over and over and over. Thomas went to Disney when he was little and said when we got the Pirates of the Carribean he could hardly sit still he was so excited to see everything to see if he remembered anything. He said that everything looked the same except for the new stuff they added of Jack Sparrow.

Here we are climbing the Swiss Family Robinson House. Thomas was so excited this was one of his favorites. The girls loved it. It looked just like the movie.Peter Pan and Wendy Darling were the first charachters we saw. We only waited about 10 min. for them to sign the books. The park had just opened and we were 4th in line. They were great.
Here are the girls ready to be in Woody Round Up parade. We found out later on the look on Madi's face is because she thought she was too cool to ride around on a stick horse in a parade. I told her yesterday she should be proud she was in the parade. They came and asked them. There were kids standing on the side that didn't get picked and they were crying.
We waited about 20 min. for Perla and Suzy. The were great and soo cute.
We ate dinner at Tony's Town Square from the movie Lady and the Tramp. It was just beautiful. For our vacation we did the meal plan. I believe we paid $13 a day per child and $30 or $40 a day per adult. That includes 2 meals 1 counter service and 1 sit down and a snack and tip. Every meal comes with entree, sides, dessert and large drink. The total for our meal that night drum roll $167. Our lunch earlier that day at Pinocchio place came to $62. We highly suggest the meal plan. Snacks are anything $4 or under. You get so much food with every meal that by the end of our trip we still had 11 snack tickets left. We used them up with ice cream before we left and snacks for the road.

Disney Vacation Part One

I'm going to do a few post on our Disney World vacation. I'll try to give you as many details as I can Mel for your trip. Tip one don't stay at the hotel we stayed at. We stayed at the Coronado Springs Resort on sight at Disney. The only positive thing about this hotel is the pool. It is just beautiful as you can see from the pics. During the day water went down the pyramid and at night they shut off the water and a fire would light up the top. It was beautiful. They even had a playground next to the pool for the kids to go on a dig. I'm so mad that I didn't get any pics of the playground. It was great. It was built into one side of the pyramid. Where to start to tell you about the hotel and room. I have always been told Disney Cast members will be over the top when they meet with you and help. Ummmm not the case. We told our cast member this was our first visit and he was like ok. He acted like we were bothering him when we asked him where our room was located (the resort is HUGE). Then they give you these cards for everyone in your party. You use them to get in your room, parks and to pay for your meals. We didn't know that since this was our first visit. He let me know in a nasty tone you just use it like a credit card. Then we get to our room that wasn't ready at the time promised for check-in. We walk into a room that stinks and they are trying to cover it up with vanilla. All of our belongings smelled just awful by the end of the visit. Then we pulled back the covers on the bed only to find not one, two or even four hairs. We found lots of hair and crumbs in the beds. On the first day of our visit I just wanted to go home and get my money back. I was thankful for a beautiful pool. We didn't spend much time in our room thankfully. We left everday at 8:15 am and usually didn't return until 11 pm. My biggest tip again don't every stay at Coronado Springs.
