SNOW.....and the South goes crazy!!!!!

I had to work at Lowes today from 8 am until 5 pm. It was just crazy. When you walked out of the store you could hear sirens going off responding to accidents. People wanted to buy sleds, salt, shovels, boots and heaters. I did have one guy come in and buy tools for planting bulbs. He told me it was a great job for today. The food stores were just as insane (milk and bread gone). Madison spent a little time out in the snow. I just hope they have the roads clear tomorrow morning. I've got work. All churches have canceled services tomorrow. I'm sure it makes you all laugh in the North that see the amount of snow in the pics.

He Knows If You've Been Good or BAD.

As you can see someone in our house is being naughty. I was in the other room and heard all this yelling. I go in and she is in a fit over some missing orange seeds. She said that she was going to plant them in the spring.

Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes

Some big changes are going to come to our family VERY soon. I have 3 days left watching kids out of my house and I will be done. Some of you know about the good, bad and ugly of it. I may already have a new job lined up. If I get it I'll post some more about it. It will still be a job with kids only out of the house. It will also be something I've never done before. I am a tad nervous. The good thing about it is that the girls can be with me on the days they don't have school. I'll let you all know when I find out. I don't have a pic to go with this post so I thought I'd put one up of the girls taken this summer.

Holly Springs Christmas Parade

Today we headed out to our town Christmas Parade. We walked into town with our wagon full of chairs and no jackets. That is right no jackets. It was in the 70's today. The pics I took of Tom and Madi didn't come out. These are just some pics of Syd and the girls favorite things of the parade.

A dance group they liked.
Sydney enjoying the parade from the seat of the wagon.
Sydney with the Grinch.
The girls wanted a pic of the new truck. Our tax dollars hard at work.
These guys are our favorite every year. They chase around a guy in a prison suit on these little bikes. We even got one to pose with us down below.

One last dance group.
Merry Christmas !

Historic Yates Mill

Sorry for the lack of posts. Our camera hasn't been working. Thus the reason for no Thanksgiving pics. I know how sad 8( . Today we took the girls to Historic Yates Mill built in 1756. Thomas and I went a few weeks ago when my sister kept the kids. In a couple weeks were going to go back and see the mill working. On the third weekend of the month they have people in costume. You get to go back in time. They also have a museum. The girls had a great time and as you'll see they also took pics today along the trail.

Thanksgiving A Time To Remember

I just wanted to share a great book I got us this year to help with our Thanksgiving celebration. I love Thanksgiving. I've read the book twice to the girls and we've listend to the audio in the car. At first I didn't think they would be very into it but they actually asked to listen and read it. I hope your families have a Blessed Thanksgiving!

Our country was founded on the courage of a group of men and women who sought a better life for themselves. With all the hardships their travels produced, they still praised and thanked God.
So enjoy your dinner, but also inspire that same heart of gratitude by creating new traditions and memories with family and friends this Thanksgiving.

Tour of Downtown Cary, North Carolina

Sydney's class at the Once In A Blue Moon Bakery. We love this place they have the best treats.
The whole class in the walk-in refrigerator. Sydney has been waiting to go in this since Madi did it with her class 2 years ago. Later in the day I asked her if she had fun going back into the kitchen. Her reply was "where was the walking refrigerator?" For 2 years she thought she was going to see a walking refrigerator not a walk-in.
They visited Town Hall and got to see some of the things the Mayor does.
We saw many things that day to learn about the town. We went to the library and read a book about a little town. It's funny and sad how things have changed to little Historic Downtown areas.

Who needs Dunkin' Donuts?

Sydney ready to shake some powder on a donut.
Madison, Sydney and Jenny the little girl we watch.
Shake it up baby.
Madison working on her donut.
Mmmmmm donuts and hot chocolate.
The finished product. We decided the powder were better than the sugar and cinnamon

Sydney the Ninja Girl

Today Sydney just couldn't get her headband on the right way. It's one of those circle ones that catches on the back of your head/neck area. When she came home today it was down on her forehead. I wanted to capture it for you all. It was down even further when she came home. The mom we carpool with said she looked like that when she picked her up.

Deceptively Delicious

I went over to my neighbors house yesterday to crop my Disney photos. She had this recipe book by Jessica Seinfeld. I love it and want it NOW. I have a very bad eater. The Doctor asked Madison what veggies she eats and her reply was corn and potatoes. I wanted to just hide. And she is just as bad with fruit. Syd is okay. She loves her fruit. If the girls see anything green they won't touch it. I have an amazon.com gift card and I might be giving it some action tonight. Go check it out www.DeceptivelyDelicious.com . I had the chocolate cake yesterday made with beets and it tasted like any other cake.

Yuck

The picture I posted doesn't go along with my post. I figured if I was going to post I should pop on a pic from Disney. We love the Mad Hatter.
Melonie I think you might have passed on the tummy bug to us thru the computer. ;) We know how we got it. The kids I watch were sick and Mom brought them back before they were better and passed on the love. I sent them right back home only not fast enough. Only Sydney is sick at this time. Thomas and I feel a little bit of yuck. I think we just might be tired from being up most of the night. Madi is feeling good so far. I'm sure she'll feel the love soon too.
