Happy Birthday America!!!!
If tomorrow all the things were gone I’d worked for all my life,And I had to start again with just my children and my wife.I’d thank my lucky stars to be living here today,‘Cause the flag still stands for freedom and they can’t take that away. And I’m proud to be an American where at least I know I’m free. And I won’t forget the men who died, who gave that right to me.And I’d gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today.‘Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land God bless the U.S.A.From the lakes of Minnesota, to the hills of Tennessee, across the plains of Texas, from sea to shining sea,From Detroit down to Houston and New York to LA,Well, there’s pride in every American heart, and it’s time to stand and say:I’m proud to be an American where at least I know I’m free. And I won’t forget the men who died, who gave that right to me.And I’d gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today.‘Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land God bless the U.S.A.God Bless The U.S.A. Everything Old Is New Again
Concert At Church
We go to Colonial Baptist Church in Cary. It's a church of about 4,000. During the summer our Pastor takes a little break and we have special speakers or music. Keith and Kristyn Getty sang at our church last evening. It was soooo good. I've been listening to the CD we bought all morning. The kids stayed in the service with us and behaved. We got to church early and got our seats. While waiting for the concert who should come sit next to us but our Pastor and his family. He sat right next to Sydney. Sometimes Sydney has behavior issues. Since we changed her diet she has gotten a LOT better. I whispered to her and said you better behave the Pastor is next to you. She wanted to know why he wasn't up front where he belonged. She did a great job and we were able to enjoy the concert.Wednesday, June 27, 2007

I've Been Tagged.
My GREAT friend Melonie from college tagged me. I have to list 7 random things about myself that you might not know about me. I'm suppose to tag 7 people. The only problem is as of now I only know 2 people who blog. I have family and friends who look at mine.
1. I would really love to do FBI type PI work. I think I'd liked to focus in on cheating husbands. (I know very different than the college days of Early Childhood classes.)
2. I've had what I call my bad toe. Back in '95 I had 2 toes operated on. My big toe that was never operated on got an infection. It has taken 11 years for a doctor to figure out what was wrong with it. I had gone to many doctors. Finally my doctor down here did a lot of tests and found out I had a staph infection. ELEVEN YEARS. Now I have a good toe.
3. I am fascinated with the Amish way of life. I would love to give it a try. I loved going to my Aunt and Uncles house when I was little and see them drive by. I've been reading books about the Amish the last 6 months.
4. Thomas and I met on a blind date January '97. (Engaged July '97 and Married Nov. '97)
5. I was adopted. They already had 4 grown children all girls. One of my sisters is exactly 20 years older than me to the day.
6. I've been thinking about homeschooling the girls. I have some books on hold at the library. I hope not soon but I am reading up on it.
7. We just recently sold our house and then bought a house on the same street. That wasn't planned.
I hope you enjoyed.

Busy Day and Showing Off New Clothes
Today I'm getting the house ready for a Girls Night Out Movie Night. I'm renting the movie Music and Lyrics. Now that we're in the big house we wanted to more entertaining. I mowed the front lawn this morning and cleaned the floors. Since I had been working so hard we decided to take a break and dress up. My mom was here visiting back in April and May. While she was here she did some sewing. I got a new valance for my kitchen and the girls each got an outfit. We just had a little photo shoot outside. Now I've got to get back to cleaning and get some lunch made. The most important thing today is to make some CHOCOLATE BROWNIES for the movie night.

Sea Saver Account
We've had packed day and it still isn't over. We started off at the pool at 9 am and then headed off to the library. The little girls that I watch left early woooohooooo. So we headed off to Target and then the Bank. Sydney had gotten several checks for her b-day and we started a Sea Savers account. At our bank they get a kids accountand give thema fish bank and a book to track the money. She is so proud. We had to stop by and show Daddy at work. Now I'm off to make dinner. Then it's off to soccer practice. It's been a busy but good day.

Traveler

Thomas and I don't always agree on TV programs. There is this new show called Taveler and we're hooked. It's one of those shows you can't miss or you'll be totally lost. Wednesday night will be the third episode and we'll be glued to the tube. If you didn't catch it when it started you can watch on your computer on ABC. We LOVE it.
